Burt Quick enlisted in the Marine Corps(R) on July 5, 1966, and served six years because his family was in the Marine Corps. His father was a Marine who served in China during the nineteen thirties, and his brother is a Vietnam veteran. His service was throughout California. And he earned the rank of SSGT (E-6). He has been married to Mardi since 1967 and has three sons, seven grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
